Managing Microsoft Teams

The MS-700 certification validates skills in planning, deploying, configuring, and managing Microsoft Teams as the hub for collaboration and communication in Microsoft 365. It covers Teams administration including channels, chat, apps, meetings, webinars, live events, calling, voice, Teams devices, security and compliance settings, and lifecycle management of Teams environments.

This certification is designed for Microsoft Teams administrators who manage internal and external collaboration and communication for an organization. Candidates should be proficient in configuring Teams policies, managing Teams governance, troubleshooting call quality, and integrating Teams with other Microsoft 365 services and third-party applications.

The exam consists of 40–60 questions to be completed in approximately 100 minutes (120 minutes if labs are included). Question types include multiple-choice, multiple-select, drag-and-drop, and hot area formats. Questions are scenario-based, testing your ability to configure Teams policies, troubleshoot meeting and calling issues, and manage Teams governance. Expect questions on Teams admin center, PowerShell, and call quality dashboards.

This exam goes beyond basic Teams usage to deep administration. Candidates who are proficient Teams users but lack experience with the Teams admin center and PowerShell management cmdlets often find the exam challenging.
